Hublot Big Bang Chronograph is Harder than Steel

Based on the meeting notes, it appears that Hublot has introduced a new watch called the Hublot Big Bang Unico Full Magic Gold. The watch is cased in Magic Gold, which is an alloy that Hublot claims is as hard as 18k gold but has a Vickers hardness rating of 1,000, compared to hardened steel’s rating of 600. The Full Magic Gold watch is a limited edition of only 200 pieces. According to Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, the Big Bang is turning eighteen this year and the Full Magic Gold version embodies the essence of their Manufacture. The watch features the Unico 2 (Hub 1280) chronograph movement, a visible dial-side column wheel, and a structured rubber strap. The dimensions of the watch are 44mm in diameter and 14.5mm thick, and it is water-resistant to 100m. The retail price for the watch is SGD54,800.
